The
sites at Buttonwood Beach are sold on a long-term
99-year renewable lease basis (we do not offer any type
of “transient” camping). Each site has underground
sewer, water, electric, telephone and cable hook ups.
Yearly fees are much less than you would pay for a
summer’s seasonal rental at most campgrounds. Our fees
last year were over $2,700. They are based on a sharing of
the expenses by all of the members in the park (which is
why we use the phrase “condo camping”). At any given
time, any number of our properties are available for
resale for any of a variety of reasons. Because
Buttonwood Beach has been fully leased for many years,
resale properties represent your only way to be a part
of our community. The only other expenses you would
have, aside from the original purchase price of the
lease and trailer, would be for propane,
insurance on your trailer,
and electricity for your site. All trailers are subject
to 6% Maryland Sales Tax.
